The Company:

Urban Sanctuary

Urban Sanctuary is an award winning Beauty Therapy Clinic and Day Spa located in Wellington (New Zealand) specialising in facial and body treatments with a holistic approach in honouring a person’s senses and well-being.

The Challenge:

Urban Sanctuary had an established website and realised that people were not locating their website in Search Engines when they were typing in keywords or phrases that described their business. They wanted to increase their visibility in Search Engines like Google. Urban Sanctuary requested that we optimise their website for the Wellington (New Zealand) region, New Zealand wide, and internationally.

The Solution:

We optimised Urban Sanctuary’s website in early November. In late November it was beginning to appear in Search Engines like Google for a number of the keywords and phrases that we had optimised.

Business Benefits:

We have achieved results in the top 10 in http://www.google.com/ for a number of keywords and keyphrases. Similarly we’ve also achieved top 10 results in http://www.google.co.nz/ and other Search Engines as well.
March’s results (three months after we completed the optimisation work) show a 52% increase in the number of Search Engine Referrals, compared with October (prior to any optimisation work being done). Correspondingly, March’s statistics show that Urban Sanctuary’s website had the largest number of website visitors they have ever recorded. Urban Sanctuary’s website visitor numbers for March increased by a huge 78% in comparison to the visitor number average compiled from the 6 months previous to the optimisation work being implemented on their website.

Customer Feedback:

“Our Website, it seems, is becoming more and more of a valuable marketing tool for us as we have seen constant growth with people browsing our web site.  Of course anyone hitting on our site represents a potential new client so it is important that these people get a good “feeling” for what we can offer them, and more importantly they then feel confident enough to take the next step and contact us either to book an appointment, purchase product or a gift voucher.
Overseas interest seems to also be a valuable addition for us as we frequently have customers viewing our website to purchase gift vouchers for family, friends, work colleagues and loved ones in the Wellington region.  This being the case it is very important to us that potential clients living overseas are able to locate us very easily with a few predominant key words.
The results that the recent “search optimization project” have produced are very encouraging to us. We will continue to monitor these results and feel confident that the coming months will show further increases.

FACE have been involved with our web site right from its embryonic state and over the last 5 years or so it has been a work in progress to continually improve the appeal and content of what  we consider to be our most valuable marketing tool.  We have always been thrilled with the input, professional services and cooperation that the FACE team have provided.  Their level of professionalism both in technology and human resources has been outstanding and we are constantly receiving positive feedback from our clients in complimenting the appeal of our web site.  We look forward to continued growth of this valuable tool with the ongoing support of the FACE team in the future.”
